LASER-FOCUSED AVOIDANCE

Overshadowing her professional life, Greta is an ardent conspiracy theorist and podcaster. She explores fringe theories about corporate corruption and presents them to her small yet dedicated following. Greta is determined to uncover hidden truths, believing that the world holds more mysteries than the average person acknowledges. Her online presence is a platform for sharing her theories and pursuing answers, even when they appear far-fetched to the outside world.

Greta is a complex character with a passionate drive to uncover the truth about her past. Born as a twin on a summer solstice, Greta’s life took a tragic turn when her twin sibling died at birth. However, Greta firmly believes her twin was not a stillborn, but rather taken away by a nurse and kept hidden from her or killed in ritual sacrifice. She’s been on a relentless quest to uncover the fate of her missing twin.

Greta’s drive to find the truth about her sister and to expose corporate corruption allow her to fill her days with fervant activity and feel purposeful and alive. Deep down, she still struggles with feeling exposed and invisible at the same time,

TRAUMA, ISOLATION

In high school Greta was a well-liked reporter for the school newspaper and writer for the yearbook. Unfortunately she experienced significant trauma after being raped by multiple schoolmates on video at a party, then subjected to a social media scandal without any support. Greta’s parents blamed her for sneaking out and embarrassing the family, while at school she was bullied, harassed, and ostracized by students and teachers. The police were not helpful.

Greta attempted suicide unsuccessfully, but this had the opposite effect one might expect, leading to more bullying and guilt from her family.

Finally, Greta came to a realization that her life was worth more to her than it was to the people around her. She decided that her community didn’t deserve her presence. Greta ran away from home just before graduation from high school and has been making her way in the world for 12 years, relying on her wits, her charm, and her talent as a super-taster in more recent years, to scrape together rent and sometimes food every month.

A LIMINAL PRODIGY GONE LIMP

Five years ago, Greta discovered the music of Happy Rhodes, which opened a key to the Liminality for her. Initially unconsciously but increasly aware, Greta has been actively tapping into the Liminality for joy and disassociation from her memories. She accidentally attracted the protection and cultivation of the Sages, and has been engaging in what she considers powerful imaginary adventures, bridging with non-corporeal entities and exploring the Universe. She has also developed a strong Charismatic Will, and over the past year has found that when she uses a certain tone of voice, people tend to coopoerate with her.

For some time, she continued strengthening her mind, body, and unconscious control, by engaging in physical movements with Happy Rhodes’ music, to open and plug into the Liminality, sometimes for hours of each day. This continued practice quickly moved her to a front-runner position with Sages.

However, her continued failure to make headway with her life missions, and her constant issues with Executive Function overwhelm and poverty, have been dragging Greta down. She has been avoiding her working sessions, binge-watching reality tv, and smoking pot, allowing her research to remain untouched for months. Without regular contact into the liminality she has also drifted from Roses’ attention, and risks losing her place among the Sages, and protection altogether.

Greta

Despite her difficulties and current status as an almost-washout, Greta shows the capacity for surprising resilience, and her enthusiasm for the truth keeps her a liminality favourite.

Sages

Greta is nominated for a last chance at redemption with Ivy Wyvie’s Slow-Mo

Greta has something special but she has never really dealt with the trauma of her past. That dysfunction within her body tastes like blue cheese to our liminality – there is a taste for it, but she could find herself spit out. Gretas needs to find her balance if she stands a chance of gaining standing in this game.

Mother Roses protects the House of Sages. Greta must earn her place or find new protection before her time runs out.
