Astrid’s parents split up when she was six, when her father came out.
She lived with her father and Ned from 8 to 10, when her father died
Loss
Abuse Silence
Anger
After her father passed, Astrid was removed from Ned’s care to return to her mother. She stopped talking, becoming silent, sullen, and uncooperative. Living with her mother and step-father, Astrid experienced neglect and abuse, becoming increasingly disconnected and obsessed with death.
Lost
On the street
Astrid started running away from home and experimenting with increasingly more addictive drugs in high school. By age 17, she was living on the streets. Ned sent her to rehab twice, but each time when she was released to her mother she ran away again. Ned found her again five years ago, and brought her to his property to recover.

Safe and Sober
Living
Astrid’s third attempt at rehab at age 24 has led to five years sober (not counting cannabis). She lives in a cottage on Ned’s property, where she keeps a menagerie of rescued animals and her best friend, a horse.
Astrid is a gifted musician who weaves her experiences and emotions into avant-garde music that transcends traditional boundaries. Her work serves as a powerful outlet for her exploration of non-binary identity and the experience of chronic pain and addiction. Through her art, she challenges societal norms and expectations, delving into the depths of her own psyche to bring forth authentic and thought-provoking expressions.
Astrid’s live performances are nothing short of bewildering to mainstream audiences. Her avant-garde music and eccentric stage presence often perplex those unaccustomed to her unapologetically unique style. However, there’s a dedicated underground following that adores Astrid’s work. Her performances resonate deeply with those who appreciate the depth and authenticity of her artistic expression, and her loyal fan base continues to grow as she fearlessly explores new realms of sound and identity. She arranges music for performers, including drag performer Lola Luminessence, interweaving and sampling the work of Happy Rhodes in her creations.
Washout?
At first glance, Astrid may come across as a socially awkward teen, but beneath the surface lies a multi-faceted artist and thinker approaching 30.
Protected by Maverick, Astrid has been exploring movement meditation and unsuspectingly connecting into the Luminality. While her exploration made her a front-runner for champion among Wretches, she has become complacent and safe in her choices, hiding behind her silence and music and avoiding human interaction, putting her status at risk.
