It’s literal elimination.

Ivy Wyvie

Welcome to the

D-O-Oh J-O-Oh!

We are Ivy Wyvie, host and mentor, and this is our liminality!

Here we scoop the best washouts other entities are about to abandon, and give them one last chance for redemption.

We put them through the slow-mo wringer for a grueling season of change, twisting their minds, hearts, spirits and BODIES to find out if they really are losers, or if they have what it takes to rise again!

Could Earth’s Champion be among them still? Let’s find out together.

And this Season, the Slow-Mo Dojo returns with a game-changing twist. You asked for it, and we delivered. After all, two houses are better than one! Darlings, we bring you

SAGES VERSUS WRETCHES!

From the House of Sages, these flowers were cultivated and protected by Mama Roses, but they’re going limp on the vine. We have:

Greta! Ricky! And Ned!

Roses

Protector: Roses

Greta
Greta
Conspiracy chaser and super taster searching for her twin who “died at birth” more…
Ricky
Ricky
Reclusive autistic inventor who left home to transition to male at 18 more…
Ned
Ned
Aging hippy astro-photographer disengaged from his passion more…

And Mother Maverick’s protected Wretches on the edge of total wipeout, we bring you:

Astrid! Beau!

And Lo-o-o-o-la-a !!

Roses

Protector: Maverick

Astrid
Astrid
Eccentric elctronic musican, recovering addict, and largely-non verbal survivor  more…
Beau
Beau
Washed-up child actor, grown foster-kid, high potential low ambition whiner more…
Lola
Sidelined avant-garde drag queen by night; loner audio-engineer Marcus by day  more…

Each house has nominated three Washouts for a final chance at redemption, but there can only be ONE CHAMPION moving forward to decide the fate of Earth. Is that Champion here this season? Soon we’ll know. For the rest, it’s either home to mother, or it could be literal elimination.

AND, just to spice things up, for the first time ever in the Slow-Mo, we roped an independent contender. Former finalist for the House of Wretches, this spitfire earned her place but still got cut, and now she’s running unprotected. We know her, we love her, it’s Melissa!

Our washouts will be working together on REAL WORLD challenges, beyond the Liminality of the Dojo. Then their subconscious brings the whole story back home to the dojo for interpretation and judging.

You experience what they experience! You get all the tingles!

These intrepid souls will face the most nebulous of potentials and wrangle them into full-fledged realities. They will grapple with infestations unlike anything we’ve seen before, to inspire redemptions for the most lost and caged of souls. They will need to draw on every ounce of strength, skill, and luck they’ve built through past seasons.

Life of Lola
Life of Astrid

They’ve already tackled mind-blowing challenges, and set themselves on a path of learning that has formed the characters they bring today.

But they’ve given up. Fallen short. Let their potential rot on the vine. Gotten lazy. Failed to connect home and thrive. So, their mothers have sent them to me, the soul-saver, for one last chance. Here, they will be challenged on every level, with their lives and the life of Earth on the line. In the end, only one champion decides Earth’s fate. Are these souls worthy to stay in the running, or stay on Earth at all? We will determine it now.

Whether they are ready or not.

But first, let’s hear from our panel of judges

Irene Aia

IRENE AIA

Mino Eunomia

MINO EUNOMIA

Radical

RAD

Soul Wrangler ninth degree and cultivator of American Earth favourites like Susan Sontag, Madeleine L’Engle, and more recently, Michelle Obama, let’s offer a big welcome to…

Irene Aia!

Irene, first impressions on this crop of washouts? Anyone ready for redemption?
Aia Irene et al

We want to know Melissa’s reaction when she figures out she’s fallen back to Washouts. Did she think she’d stay a finalist without protection?
She’s got something to prove. The pressure of a reputation, and the drama of the breach from Maverick’s Wretches.
A house-hunter needs to come through here, and she has the experience to do it.

She’s unprotected without this win, that’s certain. None but them has insight to what led to the break between Maverick and Melissa.
D R A M A !
The season should shed some light.
Anyone else come to notice?
Irene Aia BW

Ricky’s so interesting to show up here now. Is he ready for what’s to come? But when he decides, he decides, and he has gifts the others lack.
When he decides he decides! Yes and just so. Much gratitude, Irene, you shine!
Over to

Mino Eunomia

the powerhouse who brought us movers and shakers like Rosa Parks, Bertrand Russel, and Irshad Manji. Mino, do you see any promise in this crop?

Greta speaks to our heart with her fearless honesty and the simplicity of working through her. She’s so tuned in already. And we must not discount Ned. He’s got the experience and maturity to accept reality without settling for it.

We know your bias, Mino!
After all, wasn’t Ned once under your protection?

Mino Mino on the Wall

We did great things with his youth, but we lost him to grief. He’s washed out of two houses since. Here is his chance for redemption.

It may be his last! As you observe he has passed this point before, more than once, so he’s a little deja vu by now. But his potential was so clear and Roses wants this last chance for him so…will he muster his energy to use his experience or get discouraged by the distance given how little time he has left?
In fairness, no one has much time left.

Ha! Absolutely. Well played, Mino.
Mino Eunomiatica
We have faith in Ned.

May we find your faith well-placed.
Aia Irene et al

We wonder whether he’ll figure out what team he’s on, or if he’ll give it all up for love?

Oh, Irene, is love EVER giving up?

And, last but first, we have
RAD
Culitvator of such greats as Blaise Pascal, Kurt Vonegut, and George Orwell! Rad, thoughts on this pool of contenders?
Radical
We think that if the potentials favoured any of these for Champion they would not be Washouts now.

Gratitude for stating the crux. Isn’t that just what my Slow-Mo Dojo is all about!
High-potential souls who missed their moment, failed a crucial test, succumbed to sabotage. But maybe learned! Grew!
Giving them a real chance to come back from defeat or stagnation. The hero’s journey. A chance for redemption! We love lost souls found!
Chance does not ensure strong potentials. Most are lazy. We imagine the whole cohort washes out again, some of them for good this time.

Your perspective brings balance. But if you were to choose a champion among them right now, who would it be?

We do not pre-emptively declare.
We note a bias for Sages house so far, and wonder that none of our esteemed panel names the Wretch, Lola, clearly the most functionally advanced with bridging sets. She performs publicly. Her comfort with ambiguity remains strongest. She is objectively the most beautiful.
Radical Radaliious
Beauty is in the eye of the Watcher!
The other side of Lola is Marcus. For her/him, navigating that split creates some real potential for distraction.
We share that “distraction” Cousin.
Yes, yes…and since we’re on to Wretches, thoughts on Astrid or Beau?
Radatia

Beau has failed to stay conspicuous. He has beauty, and magic, but he is the whiniest and laziest. We doubt his fortitude to overcome his damage in time for a good showing this season.

Sad truths, indeed! But maybe that early promise will rise through! And Astrid?
Astrid provides an interesting combination of factors. For her it will come down to choices and commitment.
She does not love her body and uses more energy on boundaries than connections. Her silence serves and hinders.
Only if she truly commits to life on Earth, her purpose, can she stand against seasoned pros like Melissa or Ned.

Astute observations as alltimes, Rad! Do let us console ourselves that even these washouts have the chance to strengthen potentials for their Houses and add to the pool of Being with blessing and favour, which is a noble cause.
Mino Mino
May being so.

May being so.
Mino Eunomia
In love of fairness, we draw attention to the prior connections among some contenders. Does this perhaps confer advantage?
Or opposite – thinking they know each other may render them blind to discovering each other.

Everything happens as does, and nothing will happen that can’t. The balance clears.
And so.
And so.

Now that we have a taste of who’s on deck, it’s time to get our babies moving! The first challenge, as alltimes, is to figure out they’re in the race in the first place!

We’ve strengthened potentials that establish the stage. Now, it’s up to our heroes to find each other and make some sense of what’s going on.

Who will get first contact? Who will make most impact?

Who will be sent home, and who will never go home again?

This week’s theme: Pushing the Boundaries!

Our race begins…
